He has consulted on numerous successful campaigns, including Linda Kohar’s run for Parma City Council. While working as Meghan George’s campaign manager and principal advisor for her run for mayor of Lakewood, Ohio, Trevor created and implemented a successful campaign strategy that included a vote-by-mail digital outreach program. Trevor organized and oversaw a coalition with the Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, the UFCW, and the UWUA, among others, to recruit and offer outreach campaign training, mail support, and social media strategies for over 300 candidates for the County Central Committee.

In his role as the political & organizational director for Nina Turner’s campaign, Trevor polished his networking skills by building rapport with constituency groups, labor unions, and elected officials. Trevor became known as the campaign fireman, putting out fires and problem-solving issues on the fly. A natural facilitator, Trevor was in charge of all itineraries and visits from delegates such as Representative Ocasio-Cortez, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Mayor Yulin Cruz. As the Organizational Director, Trevor Elkins’ functions included recruiting, interviewing, and retaining more staff to efficiently manage the operations of Nina Turner for Us. Trevor further developed his social media and marketing skills in this role through local organizing and fundraising events.
Among the many responsibilities as the mayor of Newburgh Heights, Trevor worked to develop and implement a $9,000,000+ annual budget, establish a grant program for student loans, create the most comprehensive family leave policy in the country, order new educational requirements for law enforcement officers, set a 32-hour workweek, and raise the minimum wage to $15.
In his current role as the President of Executive Targeting and Consulting, Trevor and his team provide multi-level support for political candidates throughout the Cleveland/Akron, Ohio area. Trevor Elkins is also the president of Targeting and Solutions Limited, a company established to represent local governments, townships, and districts in the setup and management of modern turnkey traffic enforcement technology. Trevor and his team are known for representing their clients instead of camera companies.
